Welcome to Picsi.Ai ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Picsi.Ai application for iOS (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using our App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use.

2. Information We Collect

To provide our Services, we collect information that you provide directly to us and information that is collected automatically.

2.1. Information You Provide to Us:

  • Account and Authentication Information: When you create an account, you may do so using supported third-party Single Sign-On (SSO) services (e.g., Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Discord). In such cases, we receive an authentication token or identifier from the third-party service to create and manage your account. This may include your public profile information (such as your username) and the email address associated with your third-party account. We do not receive or store your password for these third-party services.

  • Face Data for Processing: To use the core features of the App, you will provide images or videos containing faces ("Face Data"). This includes selecting a "source face" and a "target" image or video for swapping or enhancement. The specific handling of this sensitive data is detailed in Section 3 of this policy.

  • Communications: If you contact us for support or provide feedback, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

2.2. Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Usage and Technical Data: We automatically collect anonymous data about how you interact with our App, such as features used, buttons tapped, session duration, and performance metrics (e.g., crash reports and diagnostics). This helps us understand usage patterns and improve the App's stability and functionality.

  • Device Information: We may collect basic, non-identifying information about your device, such as the device model and operating system version, to ensure compatibility and optimize performance.

3. How We Use and Process Your Face Data

Your privacy and the security of your Face Data are our highest priorities. Our guiding principle is to minimize data retention and process Face Data only as necessary to provide the service you have requested. Below is a clear explanation of how each feature uses your data.

3.1. For the "Image Swap" Feature (Server-Side Processing)

  • How it is Used: For static image swaps, both your selected source face and target image are securely transmitted to our servers. Our AI model performs the face swap on the server to generate the final result.

  • Data Retention: Neither the source face, the target image, nor the resulting creation are stored on our servers. All data for the operation is immediately and permanently expunged seconds after the result has been sent back to your device.

3.2. For "GIF Swap," "Video Swap," and "Live Swap" Features (Hybrid On-Device Processing)

  • How it is Used: These features use a hybrid model for performance and privacy. To initiate a session, your chosen source face is securely sent to our server one time to generate a temporary, mathematical representation of its features (a session token or "feature vector"). This vector is then sent back to your App. The actual, computationally-intensive face swapping onto your GIF, video, or live camera feed then occurs entirely on your device using this temporary vector.

  • Data Privacy: Your target GIFs, target videos, and live camera feed are never transmitted to our servers.

  • Data Retention:

    • Source Face Image: The original source face image is immediately and permanently discarded from our servers after the session token has been generated.

    • Session Token: The generated session token is never stored on our servers. It is temporarily cached in your device's memory (RAM) and is cleared as soon as the App is closed.

3.3. For the "My Faces" Tab

  • How it is Used: For your convenience, you may save source faces to the "My Faces" library. These images are stored exclusively on your device's local, private storage. They are never transmitted to our servers unless you select one to initiate a swap session, at which point they are handled according to the policies in sections 3.1 and 3.2 above.

4. How We Use Non-Face Data

We use the other information we collect (Account, Usage, and Device Information) for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and secure your account.

  • To process payments for subscriptions through our third-party payment processors.

  • To monitor App performance, diagnose crashes, and identify areas for improvement.

  • To respond to your support requests and other communications.

  • To send you emails with updates, newsletters, marketing, or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.

  • To enforce our Terms of Use and comply with legal obligations.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We do not share your Face Data with any third parties, except as required for the temporary processing described in Section 3.

We may share non-face data with trusted third-party service providers who perform essential functions on our behalf, such as:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers: For secure server hosting and the temporary, transient processing of data required to provide the App's features. These providers are contractually forbidden from using your data for their own purposes.

  • Payment Processors: To securely handle payments for subscriptions. We do not store your full payment card details.

  • Analytics Providers: To help us understand anonymous usage patterns and improve our App.

We may also disclose information if required by law or in response to a valid legal process, such as a court order or subpoena.

6. Data Retention Summary

Our data retention policies are designed to protect your privacy by keeping information only as long as necessary.

  • Face Data for Image Swaps: Not retained on servers. Discarded immediately after processing.

  • Face Data for GIF, Video, & Live Swaps: Source images are not retained on servers. Session tokens are not retained on servers and are cleared from the App's memory upon closing the App.

  • "My Faces" Thumbnails: Stored locally on your device until you delete them. Not stored on our servers.

  • Account Information: Retained for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and security purposes.

In summary, as described in Section 3 ("How We Use and Process Your Face Data") and Section 6 ("Data Retention") of this policy, all Face Data sent to our servers for processing is used only for the immediate provision of the requested service and is not permanently stored or retained by us. Face thumbnails saved in the "My Faces" feature are stored only locally on your device under your control.

7. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your information. This includes using industry-standard encryption (e.g., SSL/TLS) for data in transit and limiting access to data on our secure servers. While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to access, update, or request deletion of your account information. You can manage the Face Data stored locally on your device directly within the "My Faces" feature of the App. To exercise any other rights, please contact us at support@picsi.ai.

9. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
